Sons and Daughters of Italy - Fall RIver

Festival of trees

The Festival of Trees, presented by AHA! Fall River! and The Herald News, showcases trees designed by local businesses and community organizations.  Each group contributes $50 to compete for the title of "Best Tree" and all proceeds benefit the Herald News Holiday Fund.

This year the Fall River Sons of Italy has a FANTASTIC entry, thanks to the design of our new Lodge member, Sue McGovern, and her decorating assistant,Philly Nardelli.  To vote our tree the best in show, simply attend the free, family-friendly Festival of Trees on Saturday, December 17 at 11am at the Eagle Events Center on N. Main Street in Fall River.  Guests will receive a program guide, which includes the voting form, and will be taken on a tour of all the decorated trees.  Transportation will be provided for the mobility impaired.  To cast your vote, return your ballot to the Eagle by 4:30pm and enjoy a free holiday concert by the Sophisticated Swing Band and some light refreshments.  Covered wagon carol rides to the Fall River Historical Society will also be available throughout the afternoon!
